MES Journal of Technology and Management
The MES Journal of Technology and Management was started by MES College of Engineering Kuttippuram in 2010 to disseminate state-of-the-art information about theory, practice, research and innovation in the field of Technology and Management. This national journal provides a platform to unite academic researchers, practicing engineers and students together to share their ideas and research findings to debate with the international community of researchers on these areas of concern.
The regular issue is published on yearly basis in every January. The objective of the journal is to capture innovations and challenges in technical and management practices and their subtle exposition in current researches. In line with the objectives of the journal, the editors seek articles, review papers and research papers for publication. All articles and papers are referred for independent review by peer experts. The articles may be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org

Internet of Things & M2M
Department of IT, MES College of Engineering Kuttipuram, in association with Department of ECE and Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) organized Two day Hands-on Workshop on “Internet of Things & M2M” for PG/UG students on 18th &19th August 2017.
The Internet of Things has the potential to transform our economy, society and how we actually live our lives. Both the digital and physical worlds are coming together through IoT, a combination that will likely revolutionize our lives, and unleash infinite possibilities. In this workshop, 12 external participants and 90 internal participants were attended. The participants have learned about core and advanced aspects of IoT such as hardware platforms, embedded design, underlying protocols and standards, cloud connectivity and also got hands-on experience to imagine, design and build connected devices in an end-to-end IoT scenario. At the end of the workshop, participants got an opportunity to build modules for smart city by smart connected device and gained profound knowledge of IoT/M2M protocols and related state-of-the-art.In summary, the program was useful for internal as well as external participants for familiarizing the latest research issues related to Internet of Things and its applications in smart city.
DISTINGUISHED LECTURE SERIES
The Departments of Information Technology and Computer Science & Computer Science and Engineering, MES College of Engineering Kuttipuram, is jointly organized Distinguished Lecture Series on “Next Generation Multi-core Systems - An Architectural Outlook” by Dr. John Jose, IIT Guwahati for faculty members, research scholars and PG/UG students on 13th July 2017 (Thursday) from 10.00 AM to 12.30 AM. The aim of the Distinguished Lecture Series is to bring experts from premier institutes in the country like, IIT’s, NIT’s, etc. and from industries for the benefit of our students. Another motive of the program is for creating a platform for our students to get internship opportunities and collaboration in terms of MOU with the research labs (under the invited faculty) in premier institutes.
Dr. John Jose is an assistant professor in CSE Dept, IIT Guwahati, since July 2015. He did his doctoral research from IIT Madras and M. Tech at VIT Vellore. His research interest is in computer architecture with a special focus to performance optimization related to on-chip memory and communication aspects of multi/many core processors.
The talk was really motivating for the students for familiarizing the latest concepts on Multi-core computer systems and research issues related to the area. Altogether 18 faculty members and 71 students were attended the program. In summary, the program was useful for both students as well as faculty members in the institution for familiarizing the latest research issues going in the premier institutes in India.
